Britam has launched a Sh1,000 phone-based investment and life insurance product dubbed Imarika Investment Plan which targets low-income earners.

Customers are required to save a minimum of Sh1,000 daily, weekly or monthly and get life insurance cover of Sh50,000 plus returns on their investments.

To Register

  1. Client dials *778#
  2. Client enters ID/Passport Number
  3. Enter KRA pin number
  4. Enter residential address and occupation in details e.g Kileleshwa Hse no 3 Ndovu Estate
  5. Agrees to Terms and Conditions
  6. Client receives a temporary pin. If pin is not processed, call 0705100100

To Invest

  1. Client dials *778# again
  2. Client enters pin sent to them earlier
  3. Select Imarika Investment Linked
  4. Client chooses policy term (minimum 5 years)
  5. Client enters premium/preferred contribution
  6. Client indicates Financial advisor code- FA phone number as 0712-870-447 for easy follow up and assistance
  7. Authorize deduction from Mpesa
  8. Enter pin (same as above)
  9. Application is completed, client receives SMS confirming receipt of funds

Advantages of using *778#

  • Client can check balance at anytime on phone
  • Client can top up at anytime on phone by selecting
    “Purchase” on *778#
